Most of what people write in about is answered below. If yours is not, the address is at the bottom and a person who works on FoxFM reads it.

Before you write
Four lines that turn an email into a fix.
We cannot see your device, so the difference between “it does not work” and a fix is usually these four things.
- 1
Your iPhone or iPad, and its iOS version
Settings › General › About. Half of the hard problems are one iOS release wide.
- 2
What you did, and what happened instead
In the order it happened. “Then nothing appeared” is a finding; “it doesn’t work” is not.
- 3
The file, if a file is involved
Its name and format, and where it came from. One specific format inside one specific container is the usual culprit.
- 4
A screenshot, if you can
Especially of an error message. It is faster than describing it, in any language.
Common answers
The questions that come up most.
I paid for Premium, but the app still shows ads
Open Settings inside FoxFM and tap Restore Purchases. A purchase belongs to the Apple Account that made it, so check the device is signed in with that account. If it still does not appear, send us the date of purchase and we will work through it with you.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Subscriptions are managed by Apple, not by us: open the Settings app, tap your name, then Subscriptions, and choose FoxFM. Cancelling at least 24 hours before the period ends stops the next renewal, and you keep Premium until then.
How do I ask for a refund?
Refunds are handled entirely by Apple, at reportaproblem.apple.com. We cannot issue them — but if something in the app misled you into the purchase, tell us, because that is a bug on our side.
I forgot my App Lock passcode
Use the recovery key you were shown when you set the lock up — it looks like FOX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX. Enter it and you can set a new passcode. Nothing of yours is deleted, and we cannot unlock the app for you: the passcode is stored only on your device, as a hash.
The FoxFM widget is not in the widget list
Widgets need iOS 17 or later. The app itself runs on iOS 16, but on iOS 16 the widget is not installed and will not appear in the gallery. On iOS 17 and later, touch and hold the Home Screen, tap +, and search for FoxFM.
I cannot find the visualizer
It is in the player, not in Settings. Play something, open the full-screen player, and tap the waveform button in the controls under the artwork. There is also a Visualizer guide inside the app, under Sources › Guides.
A video plays in another app but not in FoxFM
Send us the file’s format and container if you can. In many cases Make Playable fixes it: it repackages MKV, AVI or TS as MP4 without re-encoding, in seconds.
Can you recover a file I deleted?
No. Files live only on your device — we hold no copy of anything and have no server they could be on. If the file was also in the Files app or Photos, that copy is untouched.
FoxFM is taking up a lot of space
Open Settings › Storage. It shows what your media, thumbnails and caches use, and clears the caches and thumbnails on request. Your media is only ever removed by you.
A radio station stopped working
Stations come from the radio-browser.info community directory and are run by the broadcasters themselves, so one can move or close without notice. Search for it again — a station that has moved usually reappears under a new entry.
Can I ask for a feature?
Yes, and requests shape what gets built next more than anything else. Tell us what you were trying to do rather than which button to add: the problem is more useful to us than the solution.
Or read about it
Which part of the app is it?
Every feature has a page describing what it does, what it can’t do and where its buttons are.

Still stuck? Write to us.
